recherche ind\u00e9pendant et groupe de r\u00e9flexion de premier plan au P\u00e9rou, Mar\u00eda Balarin Bonazzi fait \u00e9galement partie du comit\u00e9 directeur de Grupo Sof\u00eda, un r\u00e9seau qui \u0153uvre en faveur de la promotion de l&rsquo;\u00e9galit\u00e9 des chances pour les femmes sp\u00e9cialis\u00e9es en sciences sociales au P\u00e9rou et dans la r\u00e9gion latino-am\u00e9ricaine. Elle si\u00e8ge \u00e9galement dans le comit\u00e9 ex\u00e9cutif de la Soci\u00e9t\u00e9 p\u00e9ruvienne de recherche en \u00e9ducation.<\/p>\n<p>Mar\u00eda Balarin Bonazzi travaille sur un large \u00e9ventail de recherches appliqu\u00e9es et acad\u00e9miques qui se focalisent sur l&rsquo;\u00e9ducation et les march\u00e9s du travail, particuli\u00e8rement sous l\u2019angle du genre et de la jeunesse.<\/p>\n<p>Les travaux appliqu\u00e9s men\u00e9s par Balarin portent sur l&rsquo;analyse qualitative et l&rsquo;\u00e9valuation des politiques \u00e9ducatives et sociales, avec un accent particulier sur les processus de construction, de conception et de mise en \u0153uvre des politiques.<\/p>\n<p>Ses travaux universitaires se rapportent majoritairement au champ de l&rsquo;\u00e9ducation. Elle s\u2019est attach\u00e9e \u00e0 examiner l\u2019\u00e9volution des mod\u00e8les de gouvernance scolaire et la fa\u00e7on dont les processus \u00e9ducatifs assurent le r\u00f4le de m\u00e9diateurs dans les dynamiques sociales et les relations entre l&rsquo;\u00c9tat et la soci\u00e9t\u00e9.<\/p>\n<p>Plus r\u00e9cemment, elle a travaill\u00e9 sur l&rsquo;impact des march\u00e9s de l&rsquo;\u00e9ducation sur les sch\u00e9mas de s\u00e9gr\u00e9gation sociale, sur la pr\u00e9carit\u00e9 du travail et sur les transitions des jeunes vuln\u00e9rables dans le contexte des r\u00e9gimes respond to both systemic and local needs. The convenience of such practices, and their specific instantiations in countries with different cultures and institutions, need to be considered in the light of specific country-contexts as well as of the global trends that are currently shaping the governance of education systems.<\/p>\n<p>School autonomy can mean different things when we consider them in the context of existing global governance mechanisms, such as international tests and various other indicators; but also when specific cultural and institutional contexts are taken into account. In countries with weak institutions, decentralized governance reforms have often failed because of poor capacities in local administrations. In some cases, decentralized governance has entailed the local reproduction of poorly functioning bureaucracies, as well as the decentralization of corruption.
